Drake Find Your Love **Video** directed by Anthony Mandler

So here we go…the follow to my post last week. Drizzy dropped the video yesterday on his site. The video was shot in Kingston and directed by Anthony Mandler who has directed a slew of music videos. Sidenote: This talented man is also lined up to direct “Vlad” produced by Brad Pitt.

Also featured in this video is Maliah Michel. His love interest in “Find your love” and currently in the real world. For now at least…..

Drake Find Your Love – produced by Kanye West

Ok this is the Drake that I’m feeling. The singing Drake. The Drake that sounds like this is his ish and he loves to sing his heart out. Yes baybeh sing!!!!! This is the hear me and feel me now “Drake”. Not Drake the rapper droppin weak rhymes like “Swimming in the money, come and find me, Nemo”——–>WHACK! Ok so back to this song. I’m loving it cause I feel that Drake was in sync with the production of Kanye West. I hear this track and imagine Drake grippin his headphones, closing his eyes, and pouring his soul into the mic. Memories of something that was real. Real emotion, real love. I kind of have a feeling that Kanye had his say in the lyrics, but that’s ok cause we all need a lil direction. Whatever direction that was, Drake took that shit and ran like Bolt with it. Made it his. Claimed it. Can’t wait till this boy blossoms and just lets it all out.

HEY DJ’S!!!! SCRATCH THEM CABLES OUT YOUR SPACE

So this DJ just won and Apple Ipad by submitting his workspace to Unplggd.com. He made a sleek looking home studio/music workspace by creating a cool Turntable…ughhh…table (lol). He also added some shelving for his gear, an iPhone docking station, and did it all keeping the cables out of sight. He tucked away all the “extra wiring” like a tranny on Ru Paul’s Drag Race. Puhahahahhaha…..check it out

Philly Boy Scott Ackerman is the winner of a new iPad cause of his workspace

Be My #2 produced my R Kelly & Jack Splash

Well OOOOOOKAAAAYYYY! I know I’m really late on this release, but it may have something to do with all the images of pied piper being a pee pee pedophile boy that had me sleepin. BUT……pee pee or not….I am snappin my fingaz and groovin to this single. “Be My Number 2” is a funky track that expands out of the R’s range of tempo and style. I am a lover of Hip-hop/R&B & House, and I can’t help but feel like this is something I would hear in the middle of a Sunday Tea Dance set. Sippin on my capecod, swayin back and forth with my big stunnas on. EndUp maybe. Anyway, he teamed up with super producer “Jack Splash” & Kells sings his playa heart out over disco horns, strings, and filtered out guitars. Here comes the fiercness…..the track is all about this boy’s affairs with his side piece. SING!

“I could take you out to dinner
But there’s a couple of places we won’t go
‘Cause number 1 is no beginner
And there’s a couple things that she don’t know”

RICK ROSS feat NE-YO “SUPER HIGH”

OMG!!!!  This song makes me feel SUPER FANTASTIC.  For all my real heads that love some good music PUHLEEEEASE check for this song.  Rick Ross has found the pimp laid back sound that flows with his flow, and to add he puts Ne-Yo to float some beautiful vocals.  Sorry if this offends some, but Ne-Yo is singing them “oooohh yeahs” like MJ, and I like it!  Check for the phat bass line and that ride along with the song (something Pac used to love).  You will hear scratches, sexy samples, crashes, and keys fluttering here and there.  I really need to give it up to DJ Clark Kent & The Remedy for laying down such a dope track.  Five Star material…..so sexy!!!!!!  The mastering is so on point, and I’m excited to pick up the new album “Teflon Don”.  WHOOOOOOOOOOO…enjoy!

CROOKER’S REMIX “IF YOU SEEK AMY”

From the guys that brought you the famous dance version of Kid Cudi’s “Day & Night”, they bring you the wonderful Britney.  They hit you hard with a phat bass line after the rise, and you can’t help but nod your head.  Gonna burn it now to CD and roll out 🙂

Tortured Soul – Fall in love

This is a really sweet jazzy house track.  It’s brought to you wonderfully by Tortured Soul.  The 3 piece house band from BK (Brooklyn), always delivers soulful beats and good feelings.

I was lucky to see them one NYE in SF.  They hosted a dope performance at the DNA lounge and I got to sing along with some of my favorite tracks.  Not on stage though………just somewhere in the club with a drink in my hand and my other hand on someone’s….oh nevermind!

Let’s all sing together …..

88 KEYS – NICE GUYS FINISH LAST

Are you wanting a complete hip-hop album to play over and over like the ol days?  An album that demands attention???  Well 88 keys brings you “The Death of Adam”.  This album was released about a year ago, but it stays in heavy rotation for me.  It hasn’t left the car yet and I want to use this opportunity to share something so refreshing. This is one of my favorite tracks, as it follows the album’s themed journey of Adam. The chase between this young man and different women. From the friends zone, to sexin, to the aftermath of it all.

RIHANNA – Photographs

Here is the single off Rihanna’s new album “Rated R”.  It’s titled “Photographs” and is produced & featured by Will.i.am. I”m feeling the track along with the way she is singing her verses.  A little fergie-ish and not is her typical song, but it’s still good.  Someone needs to remix the song with Chris Brown in the verse somewhere.  I’m just sayin cause that’s what I hear.
